    Make a variety of nature crafts to decorate your house for the holiday season or give as gifts! Stations will be set up to make a variety of projects for preschool and early elementary age children (2.5 to 11 years). Register for the morning or afternoon session. Treats for toasting over the fire will be provided. You can even send the children with their grandparents while you get caught up on holiday gift shopping!

    305400 - Breakfast with Santa

    This program is being offered jointly by the Parks and Recreation Department and the Wood County Committee on Aging (Senior Citizens Center), and sponsored by the BG Kiwanis and Circle K Club. The breakfast will be Saturday, December 8 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Senior Citizens Center. Participants will receive a breakfast and an arts & crafts activity, which they can put together while waiting for their turn to sit on Santa's lap (a great photo op for Mom & Dad)!

    This is a free program for children ages 5 and under, but spaces are limited. Participants must be registered in advance with the Parks and Recreation Department, and may begin registering on November 7th.

    504100 - Basketball

    The youth basketball league for the fall 2018 session will consist of an eight week season. Practices are on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-6:15PM and games are on Saturdays (mostly mornings). Practices begin October 16th and games begin October, 27th. Players in the 5-6/K division must be of age as of 10/16/18 or in Kindergarten. Participants will be provided instruction through various fundamental drills and activities. Participants will also play small sided 3 v 3 games, learning the fundamentals and basic rules behind the game of basketball. Hoops are adjusted to age appropriate heights. Participants will need to bring a clean pair of tennis shoes. All participants will receive a shirt. Volunteer coaches or court assistants are needed for this program. The coaches meeting is Monday, October 1st, 7PM at the Bowling Green Community Center. The skills assessment days (participants need to attend only one) are Saturday, September 29th 12-1PM, Tuesday, October 2nd (5:30-6:30PM), Monday, October 8th (5:30-6:30PM) or Tuesday, October 9th (5:30-6:30PM).     504102 - Dodgeball

    This six week program will run on Fridays from 3:45- 5:15pm. Teams, consisting of 6th-8th graders, will be randomly assorted every week. A weekly drop in rate of $7 may be considered if numbers permit. A supervisor will be on hand to officiate and supervise all participants. Soft, gator-skin dodgeballs will be used.

    504110 - Start Smart Basketball

    Developmentally appropriate introductory program for children three to five years old that prepares them for organized basketball in a fun, non-threatening environment. This program prepares children and their parents for organized basketball programs without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Parents and children work one-on-one during this six week class. Children will receive a Start Smart Basketball Shirt. Parents and children who are participating must bring a clean pair of tennis shoes for this program. Program will be held at The Bowling Green Community Center. A facilitator will be on hand. No class on Thursday, 11/22/18.

    508600 - Adult Volleyball League

    The Women's Power Volleyball League will include 10 regular season matches and a double elimination tournament. Officials will be paid $7.00 cash per team per match (3 games). Match times are 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30PM* (if necessary). Non-residents of the City of Bowling Green must pay a yearly $15 non-resident fee. Team fees are due by 9/21/18 - Late fee is $50 for team entries turned in or postmarked after 9/21/18. Player forms for Non-Residents must be turned in with team payment if NR Fees are covered by sponsor.
